The New Mexico Performing Arts Society and the JCC of Greater Albuquerque present a conversation with composer Aaron Alter and Oliver Prezant, lecturer and educator for the Santa Fe Opera. Oliver and Aaron will discuss how the music of Johann Sebastian Bach inspired Aaron’s newly composed Earth Cantata, which will be performed on March 3rd in Santa Fe, and March 5th, in Placitas. During the conversation they will explore Aaron’s life in music, choice of cantata text, vocal writing and instrumentation.
